September is Back-to-School & Professional Development Month

We’ll be delving into how back-to-school influences the professional development process, for both facilitators and educators. We’ll take a look at the positive impact that the “clean slate” of back-to-school time has on PD, as well as the challenges of coordinating and attending professional development when you also need to focus on readying your curriculum, classroom, and students for the new school year. We’ll also be taking a look at upcoming professional development opportunities that are taking place across the nation and on the web. Here’s a glimpse into some of the topics we’ll cover throughout the month:

  • How Professional Development Can Set the Tone for A Successful School Year
  • Oops..When Professional Development Interferes with the Back-to-School Transition
  • Administrator’s Corner: How to Make the Most of Back-to-School PD to Connect with Teachers
  • Tips and Tricks for Maintaining Momentum: Keeping PD a Priority Throughout the Year

We’ll close out the month with a reflective wrap-up activity, as well as a sneak-peak at what October has in store. We wish all of our educators, administrators and students a successful 2016-17 school year!
