Tools of the Trade: 9/16 Resource Highlight

Hello Chrome Warriors! We hope that the beginning of the school year has been a successful one thus far, with plenty of opportunities to get to know your students and lay the foundation for learning. As part of our blog series, we’ll be bringing you resources that inspire learning and take some of the legwork out of PD and lesson planning. We’ll also be highlighting organizations that improve PD, innovate teaching, or are pioneers in new educational perspectives. This week we’ll be taking a look at #edchat.

#edchat

#edchat is a hashtag used on Twitter to identify weekly conversations and useful resources foreducators. #edchat provides a forum to discuss a central idea or issue that’s affecting education--for example, last week's topic was “If the education system were to abandon standardized tests, how could we insure every child receives an adequate education?” #edchat discussions take place every Tuesday at 12:00PM and 7:00PM EDT. Visit Twitter and search #edchat to get started.
