Quizlet is "the world's largest student and teacher online learning community. Every month, over 30 million active learners from 130 countries practice and master more than 200 million study sets of content on every conceivable subject and topic." The platform provides "engaging, customizable activities with contributions from people everywhere." It's a great way for educators to find study tools for students with ease.
Educators from around the world use Quizlet to build rich study sets for students, incorporating flashcards, diagrams, writing, spelling and matching activities, tests and quizzes. The platform offers a number of interactive games, where students can compete solo or against classmates to destroy asteroids before they fall by typing in the correct answer. Learners can use the Long-Term Learning feature to practice skills on a regular basis, by setting goals for specific study sets. This feature is useful for language and other vocabulary-based lessons, helping students review terms over a period of time.

So how are Alludo districts using Quizlet in the classroom? Our Community Catalog features a number of different Quizlet activities designed to encourage teachers to explore both the platform and specific content. We've incorporated it into our Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel activities as a way for teachers to get familiar with spreadsheet vocabulary. And Tulare Joint Union HS District has included a Ditch That Textbook article about digital games, featuring -- you guessed it -- Quizlet!
San Jacinto Unified's Quizlet activity directs teachers to choose a Quizlet from "thousands of ready-made materials", and embed them in their Google Classroom or Haiku site, while Hemet Unified instructs teachers to get hands-on and create their own Quizlet.
