Alludo Rewards Program Preview

In a few weeks, we will be replacing the Alludo Store with Alludo Rewards. Alludo Rewards applies lessons that we learned over the past three years operating the Alludo Store.

Alludo Look and Feel

We implemented the Alludo Store by integrating a commercial e-commerce platform - Spree - into Alludo. Embedding a third-party application can be challenging and we were never happy with the look and feel of Spree inside of Alludo. We built Alludo Rewards from the ground up and so the look and feel is native to Alludo.

Simplified Product, Order, and Fulfillment Management

In the Alludo Store, there were many, many product features that were simply uninteresting to school districts specifically and to rewards programs more broadly.

Product variants are just an extension of a product and so managing them is greatly simplified.

Product listings now include inventory directly inline.

Orders lists include the person and the school that the person is located at.

And fulfillment lists include the person, address (location), and all the products contained within the order.

Simplified Shopping Cart Experience

The shopping cart experience has been meaningfully simplified. From a list of products the learner can click into a product to add it to their shopping cart.

From a product detail view, the learner can quickly add a product to their shopping cart.

The learner's shopping cart is always visible while navigating rewards. When the learner is ready to make a purchase all they have to do is click on "Redeem Credits." There isn't the current multistep shopping cart experience that is in the Alludo Store today.

Alludo Rewards represents a complete rewrite of managing incentives in Alludo. We had three broad goals in completing the rewrite:

  1. Simplify the experience for rewards program participants and administrators

  2. Incorporate the feedback we received from our customers

  3. Provide a native Alludo look and feel

We are still ironing things out but we are very excited about Alludo Rewards!
